About this game
This is a falling-block stacking game played on a 10-column, 20-row well. Shapes made of four connected squares drop from the top one at a time; you slide and rotate each one on the way down to fit it against the pile. Whenever an entire horizontal row is completely filled, that row clears and everything above it shifts down. Clearing one, two, three or four rows at once pays out increasingly larger bonuses, and the round ends the moment a new shape has nowhere left to appear.
The twist that keeps it interesting is pace: clearing ten rows raises your level, and every level makes the shapes fall a little faster. A next-piece preview and a one-use-per-turn hold slot let you plan a move or two ahead instead of reacting blindly, and a ghost outline always shows exactly where the current shape will land if you drop it right now. Rotating near a wall or another piece automatically nudges the shape sideways to make the turn fit, so a tight rotation isn't always a dead end.
How to play
- Move the falling shape left or right with the arrow keys, or swipe left/right on a touchscreen.
- Press Up or X (or tap the rotate button) to turn the shape; if it's blocked, the game automatically tries nudging it sideways to make the rotation fit.
- Press Down to nudge the shape down faster, or press Space (or swipe down) to drop it instantly into place.
- Press C or Shift (or tap Hold) to store the current shape for later — once per shape.
- Complete a full horizontal row of blocks to clear it; clearing several rows in one drop scores extra points.
- Keep going until a new shape can no longer appear at the top — that ends the round.
Tips & strategy
- Keep the stack as flat and even as possible; tall spikes on one side make future shapes hard to place cleanly.
- Save an upright I-shaped piece for an emergency, and try to keep one column open so a tall piece can drop straight down for a big multi-row clear.
- Watch the next-piece preview before you commit to a placement — plan where the upcoming shape will fit, not just the current one.
- The hold slot is best used to park an awkward shape you don't have a home for yet, not to save your favorite shape indefinitely.
Frequently asked questions
What is a 'wall kick'?
When a rotation would normally overlap the wall or another block, the game first tries shifting the shape one column left, then one right, then two columns either way, and uses the first position that fits. This lets you rotate pieces near the edges or in tight gaps instead of being blocked outright.
How does the level and speed system work?
Your level starts at 1 and rises every 10 lines you clear. Each level makes the current shape fall faster and multiplies the points you earn from clearing lines, so later levels are both quicker and more rewarding.
