About this game
The board is an 8x8 grid filled with six kinds of gems. Tap or drag one gem into an adjacent one to swap them; if the swap lines up three or more identical gems in a row or column, that group disappears, the gems above fall to fill the gap, and fresh gems drop in from the top. If the swap doesn't create a match, the two gems simply slide back to where they started — no harm done, so there's no penalty for testing a move you're unsure about.
The real scoring comes from cascades: when gems falling into place happen to complete another match on their own, that counts as a combo, and each extra link in the chain is worth progressively more points than the last. Play in a relaxed 60-second timed mode or a fixed 25-move mode, whichever suits your style — both track your best score independently. Every board is generated with no matches already on it and at least one legal move available, and if you ever manage to leave the board with no possible moves left, it reshuffles itself automatically and lets you know.
How to play
- Tap a gem, then tap a neighboring gem to swap them — or simply swipe a gem toward the neighbor you want to swap with.
- A swap only sticks if it lines up three or more identical gems in a row or column; otherwise the gems slide back automatically.
- Matched gems clear, the gems above drop down to fill the space, and new gems fall in from the top.
- If a falling gem completes another match on its own, that's a cascade — each link in the chain scores a bigger combo bonus.
- Switch between the 60-second timed mode and the 25-move mode using the toggle above the board.
- Keep matching until time or moves run out; your best score for each mode is saved separately.
Tips & strategy
- Scan the whole board for possible swaps before making one — a move that sets up a cascade is worth far more than the first match you spot.
- Corners and edges have fewer neighbors, so gems there are often the hardest to use — try to clear central clumps first to open up options.
- In the 25-move mode, every swap counts only when it succeeds, so there's no cost to carefully checking a risky-looking move first.
- Watch for near-matches that a single incoming gem could complete — sometimes the best move is patience, letting the next drop finish the job.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my swap bounce back without doing anything?
A swap only counts if it creates a line of three or more identical gems in a row or column. If it doesn't, the two gems animate back to their original spots and nothing else changes — so you can experiment freely without any downside.
How are combo cascades scored?
Each match is worth points based on how many gems clear at once. When gems falling into place trigger another match on their own (a cascade), that counts as an extra combo step, and each step in the chain is worth more than the last — long cascades are the fastest way to a high score.
What happens if there are no moves left?
The game checks the board after every settle. If no legal swap anywhere would create a match, it automatically reshuffles into a fresh, solvable layout and shows a short message — your score and remaining time or moves are unaffected.
